Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe can't blind himself forever. (Original image credit: geoconger.wordpress.com; Illustration by Erick Colman)
Blake was the Floor Manager on duty. I don’t forget details like this. They are anchored to memory by surrounding events, like me finding empty beer cans in the bathroom that day. He’d returned from a week’s compassionate leave, on account of an uncle passing away and was getting back into work slowly. He was reserved and standoffish before the funeral; after it he was ghostlike, cold and elusive. If conversation had been difficult when I first moved in (even with standard questions, like where we’re from and what we like doing), it became extinct thereafter, save for the odd note or snide remark about how much noise I made at night. | | No comments for this item |

(Introduction: This is the third in a three-part series by The Leader World columnist Karolina Dembinska-Lemus, who shares her story on the decision to start a family. Karolina writes mainly for our Relationship, Faith and Life sections. A link to the entire series is at the end of the piece.)
And so here I was, having come full circle from not wanting to conceive to not being able to conceive. Luckily, adoption was always in the cards for us. Once we realized that we both really wanted to be parents and we agreed that we were ready, something as minor as an infertility diagnosis wasn’t going to stand it our way of building a family. We simply moved up our adoption plans. | | No comments for this item |

Property Investment Does Not Mean Instant Millions |

I recently read that 8 out of 10 millionaires made their millions through real estate. Whether this statistic is entirely true or not, I don’t know. However, what I do know is that a lot of people have made their millions from property. In fact, I would even go so far as saying that more millionaires are created from investing in property than any other industry. If you are interested in obtaining a good passive income, then I would definitely recommend you consider property as one of your strategies for wealth creation. But be warned, property investing is not a short term get rich quick scheme. Done properly and with guidance, you will gain:
• Amazing capital growth – your portfolio will increase by £100,000’s a year. • Great cash flow – you will obtain an amazing monthly passive income. • A legacy to pass down to future generations. | | No comments for this item |

Below is his account of the festival.
Mythical groups, living legends and superstars were at the 7th Festival Mawâzine, World’s rhythms, which was held from 16 to 24 May in Rabat, Morocco. A beautiful poster that leaves no doubt about the cultural and artistic ambitions of the capital and confirms a very eloquent Festival will open on the world music while balancing quality and popularity.

Restless Adults Constantly Studying And Working |

If the flourishing of adult education is part of a predominant tendency in modern society to overvalue self improvement, results and success, I must say that only in order to prepare an assignment I have thoroughly looked into this trend and eventually understood the strengths and unique values that adults display when they go back to education.
There’s currently a vibrant debate around this subject and part of it focuses on the recognition that grown ups learn in a different way from kids and youngsters. First of all, since adults have more life experience they tend to approach education in a naturally pragmatic and logic way; second of all, and this is true especially of the oldest students, they are free from constraints, peer and parental pressure and they study just because of their own passion rather than to make their family happy or simply to get a good job. This is probably why adult learners look at education with a fresh and bright approach. | | No comments for this item |
